Shiva

Shiva is the Hindu Trinity’s third member (Trimurti), and he is responsible for destroying the world in order to prepare for its renewal at the end of each period of time. Shiva’s destructive force is regenerative: it’s the first step in the process of renewal. Shiva is the Supreme Lord who creates, protects and transforms the universe

Hindus traditionally invoke Shiva before starting any religious or spiritual endeavour, believing that the mere utterance of his praise or name would dispel any negative vibrations in the vicinity of worship. Ganapati, the Obstacle Remover Shiva’s first son, Ganapati, is also known as Ganesha.

Shiva is also known as Adiyogi Shiva, regarded as the patron god of yoga, meditation and arts.
