Sa Nah Parssad-Ati Durgaanni Vishvaa Naave[a-I]va Sindhum Durita-Aty[i]-Agnih ||1||

Meaning:

(We offer our oblations to the Fire of Durga to cross over this very difficult ocean of worldly existence)
1.1: To that Jataveda (one from whom the Vedas are born) we press out the Soma (i.e. Invoke Her ardently); (We invoke that Jataveda) Who consumes by Her Fire of Knowledge (Veda) all the Adversities (within and without) (And frees us from the bondage of the world),
1.2: May that Agni (Fire of Durga) carry us over this Ocean of the World which is full of Great Difficulties and beset with great Perils; like a Boat (carrying one over a very rough Sea)

तामग्निवर्णां तपसा ज्वलन्तीं वैरोचनीं कर्मफलेषु जुष्टाम् ।

2.1: To Her, Who is of the color of Fire (Agni Varna) and blazing with Tapas (Tapasa Jwalantim); Who was born of that Fire (of Tapas) (Vairochinim), and Who is worshipped through Fruits of Actions (Karma Phala) (offered to Her Fire as oblations),
2.2: To that Durga, to that DeviI take Refuge (Sharanam Aham) by falling at Her Feet (Prapadye); (O Mother Durga, I Prostrate before You) Please ferry me mercifully (over this Ocean of the World full of great Difficulties and Perils),

3.2: … (and also spread Your Auspicious Nature over the) Land and Earth, (so that the Earth) becomes abundantly Fertile and Green (and we feel Your presence in external Nature); And fill us, (We who are) Your Children with Your Bliss (so that we feel Your presence internally),

(We offer our oblations to the Fire of Durga to cross over this very difficult ocean of worldly existence)
4.1: O Jataveda (one from whom the Vedas are born), You remove (grave) difficulties in all the Worlds; Please carry us like a Boat in this very difficult Ocean of the World (Samsara),
4.2: O Agni (Fire of Durga), our Minds are invoking You (ardently) like sage Atri (who continuously chants the mantras), and our beings are (now) filled with Your Consciousness (by continuously invoking You)

पृतनाजितँसहमानमुग्रमग्निँ हुवेम परमात्सधस्थात् ।
 नः पर्षदति दुर्गाणि विश्वा क्षामद्देवो अति दुरितात्यग्निः ॥५॥

(We offer our oblations to the Fire of Durga to cross over this very difficult ocean of worldly existence)
5.1: (She is) the (Great) Fire Who is Invincible in Battle, and charges ahead in a Terrible manner conquering (the Enemies); We invoke Her together from the Highest Assembly (i.e. ardently invoke Her together with the greatest reverence),
5.2: May that Agni (Fire of Durga) carry us over this World full of Great Difficulties, by (charging ahead and) Burning to ashes the very difficult Enemies (within us) with Her Divine Fire.

Translation:

Hirannya-Varnnaam Harinniim Suvarnna-Rajata-Srajaam |
Candraam Hirannmayiim Lakssmiim Jaatavedo Ma Aavaha ||1||

Meaning:

1.1: (Harih Om. O Jatavedo, Invoke for me that Lakshmi) Who is of Golden ComplexionBeautiful and Adorned with Gold and Silver Garlands.
(Gold represents Sun or the Fire of Tapas; Silver represents Moon or the Bliss and Beauty of Pure Sattva.) 
1.2: Who is like the Moon with a Golden Aura, Who is Lakshmi, the Embodiment of Sri; O Jatavedo, please Invoke for Me that Lakshmi.
(Moon represents the Bliss and Beauty of Pure Sattva and the Golden Aura represents the Fire of Tapas.) 

Sanskrit:

तां  आवह जातवेदो लक्ष्मीमनपगामिनीम् ।
यस्यां हिरण्यं विन्देयं गामश्वं पुरुषानहम् ॥२॥ 

Translation:

Taam Ma Aavaha Jaatavedo Lakssmiim-Anapagaaminiim |
Yasyaam Hirannyam Vindeyam Gaam-Ashvam Purussaan-Aham ||2||

Meaning:

2.1: (Harih Om) O JatavedoInvoke for Me that Lakshmi, Who does not Go Away,
(Sri is Non-Moving, All-Pervasive and the Underlying Essence of All Beauty. Devi Lakshmi as the Embodiment of Sri is thus Non-Moving in Her essential nature.) 
2.2: By Whose Golden Touch, I will Obtain Cattle, Horses, Progeny and Servants.
(Golden Touch represents the Fire of Tapas which manifests in us as the Energy of Effort by the Grace of the Devi. Cattle, Horses etc are external manifestations of Sri following the effort.)

अश्वपूर्वां रथमध्यां हस्तिनादप्रबोधिनीम् ।
श्रियं देवीमुपह्वये श्रीर्मा देवी जुषताम् ॥३॥

Translation:

Ashva-Puurvaam Ratha-Madhyaam Hastinaada-Prabodhiniim |
Shriyam Deviim-Upahvaye Shriirmaa Devii Jussataam ||3||

Meaning:

3.1: (Harih Om. O Jatavedo, Invoke for me that Lakshmi) Who is Abiding in the Chariot of Sri ( in the Middle ) which is driven by Horses in Front and Whose Appearance is Heralded by the Trumpet of Elephants,
(Chariot represents the Abode of Sri and Horses represents the Energy of Effort. The Trumpet of Elephants represents the Awakening of Wisdom.) 
3.2: Invoke the Devi who is the Embodiment of Sri Nearer so that the Devi of Prosperity becomes Pleased with Me.
(Prosperity is the external manifestation of Sri and is therefore pleased when Sri is Invoked.)

सोस्मितां हिरण्यप्राकारामार्द्रां ज्वलन्तीं तृप्तां तर्पयन्तीम् ।
पद्मे स्थितां पद्मवर्णां तामिहोपह्वये श्रियम् ॥४॥

Translation:

Kaam So-Smitaam Hirannya-Praakaaraam-Aardraam Jvalantiim Trptaam Tarpayantiim |
Padme Sthitaam Padma-Varnnaam Taam-Iho[a-u]pahvaye Shriyam ||4||

Meaning:

4.1: (Harih Om. O Jatavedo, Invoke for me that Lakshmi) Who is Having a Beautiful Smile and Who is Enclosed by a Soft Golden Glow; Who is eternally Satisfied and Satisfies all those to whom She Reveals Herself,
(Beautiful Smile represents the Transcendental Beauty of Sri Who is Enclosed by the Golden Glow of the Fire of Tapas.) 
4.2: Who Abides in the Lotus and has the Colour of the Lotus; (O Jatavedo) Invoke that Lakshmi Here, Who is the Embodiment of Sri.
(Lotus represents the Lotus of Kundalini.)

चन्द्रां प्रभासां यशसा ज्वलन्तीं श्रियं लोके देवजुष्टामुदाराम् ।
तां पद्मिनीमीं शरणमहं प्रपद्येऽलक्ष्मीर्मे नश्यतां त्वां वृणे ॥५॥

Translation:

Candraam Prabhaasaam Yashasaa Jvalantiim Shriyam Loke Deva-Jussttaam-Udaaraam |
Taam Padminiim-Iim Sharannam-Aham Prapadye-[A]lakssmiir-Me Nashyataam Tvaam Vrnne ||5||

Meaning:

5.1: (Harih Om. O Jatavedo, Invoke for me that Lakshmi) Who is the Embodiment of Sri and Whose Glory Shines like the Splendour of the Moon in all the Worlds; Who is Noble and Who is Worshipped by the Devas.
5.2: I take Refuge at Her Feet, Who Abides in the Lotus; By Her Grace, let the Alakshmi (in the form of Evil, Distress, and Poverty) within and without be Destroyed.
(Lotus represents the Lotus of Kundalini.)

6.1: (Harih Om. O Jatavedo, Invoke for me that Lakshmi) Who is of the Colour of the Sun and Born of Tapas; the Tapas which is like a Huge Sacred Bilva Tree,
(The Golden Colour of the Sun represents the Fire of Tapas.) 
6.2: Let the Fruit of That Tree of Tapas Drive Away the Delusion and Ignorance Within and the Alakshmi (in the form of Evil, Distress, and Poverty) Outside.

Meaning:
1.1: I Worshipfully Salute Devi Mahalakshmi, Who is the Mahamaya (the Primordial Cause of Creation); And Who is Worshipped Sri Pitha (Her Abode) by the Suras.
1.2: (I Worshipfully Salute Her) Who is adorned in Her Beautiful Form with Shankha (Conch), Chakra (Disc) and Gada (Mace) in Her Hands; I Worshipfully Salute Devi Mahalakshmi.

Kalyaanyai Pranataa Vrddhayai Siddhayai Kurmo Namo Namah |
Nairrtyai Bhubhrtaam Lakshmyai Sharvaanyai Te Namo Namah ||3||

Meaning:

3.1: We Bow to Her Who is the Source of Welfare, Who is GreatFulfilled and Abides as the Universe,
3.2: Salutations to Her Who is the Destroyer as well as the Prosperity which Supports the Earth and Who is the Consort of Shiva(in the Divine Plan of Creation, Sustenance, and Destruction).

Sanskrit:

दुर्गायै दुर्गपारायै सारायै सर्वकारिण्यै ।
ख्यात्यै तथैव कृष्णायै धूम्रायै सततं नमः ॥४॥

Translation:

Durgaayai Durga Paaraayai Saaraayai Sarva Kaarinyai |
Khyaatyai Tathaiva Krshnaayai Dhumraayai Satatam Namah ||4||

Meaning:

4.1: (Salutations to) Durga, Who helps us in Crossing over the Difficulties and Dangers of Life and Who is the Essence of All Causes.
4.2: Salutations Always to Her, Who is Renowned and Widely Known Outside (in Creation) Just As She is Dark and Smoky and Difficult to Know Inside (in Meditation).
